    Johns Creek Walk Grand Opening

    The Johns Creek Walk retail center located at Bell Road on Medlock Bridge Road held their grand opening and ribbon-cuttings Friday, Sept. 21 for two community businesses -- Kayson's Grille and Salon 21.

    Johns Creek Mayor Mike Bodker and Brandon Beach, CEO of The Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce, along with other area business owners, turned out to support the businesses .

    Lady Titans- Softball

    The 2007 Lady Titans fast-pitch softball team is fired up to play hard and win!

    The year's team is made up of 15 talented players - six seniors graduate this past spring, the Lady Titans return a younger, yet highly-experienced team.

    Amanda Smith returns as the only senior, along with Chelsea Godwin who will represent the junior class. The balance of the team includes ten sophomores (five who are returning players) and three new freshmen. The complete Varsity roster is posted on the Northview High School website.

    The coaching staff includes two new leaders for 2007. Head Coach, Andrew Krenzer, joins Northview from Centennial. Asst. Coach Andrea Payne is a community coach, who brings Division 1 experience as both a player and a coach. Rounding out the coaching staff is veteran Mike Hendry, who opened the Northview program.

    Scarecrow Harvest

    Teachers and students from 63 elementary school classrooms across Alpharetta were crowing with anticipation as the winners of the City of Alpharetta’s 2nd Annual Scarecrow Harvest were announced.

    The colorful scarecrows created by the classrooms are currently on display along Main Street (Ga. 9) in Historic Downtown Alpharetta.

    The winning scarecrows were announced by Mayor Arthur Letchas and members of Alpharetta City Council at a festive family celebration attended by several thousand Saturday, Oct. 6 at the Alpharetta Farmer’s Market.
