Submitted by lydia.senn on Mon, 08/04/2008 - 15:13.

Voters will return to the polls Tuesday to vote in the statewide Democratic U.S. Senate runoff. Fulton County voters will also have to decide on a Superior Court Judge, and Sheriff.
Voters must choose between DeKalb County CEO Vernon Jones and Jim Martin, former chief of the state Department of Human Resources, for the Democratic Senate nomination. The winner of Tuesday’s runoff will face incumbent Republican Incumbent Sen. Saxby Chambliss in the November General Election.
The Clerk of Superior Court will also be decided Tuesday, with Lewis L. Pittman and Cathelene "Tina" Robinson in a runoff.
Myron E. Freeman, current Fulton County Sheriff, is being challenged by Theodore Jackson.
Only about eight percent of registered Fulton County voters are expected to turnout.
