Student organizations at North Forsyth High School collected 723 new and gently used children’s books for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta’s Read Out and Read program.

Thanks to generous community donations and projects, like the one conducted at North Forsyth High School, every child who comes to Children’s Healthcare gets a book to read and when they go home, so does the book making the visit as little less scary for the child.

"I was glad to know that books that I loved to read as a child will be loved by someone else.” said Christopher Rush, a junior at North Forsyth High School.

Reach Out and Read (ROR) is a national non-profit organization that promotes early literacy by giving new books to children and advice to parents about the importance of reading aloud in pediatric exam rooms across the nation.
