Moving Beyond Your Sexpiration Date

The Greater Atlanta Hadassah is helping women rediscover their sensual selves with: “Sex Matters Passion Counts: Moving Beyond Your Sexpiration Date!!!” This educational and fun event will help women ages 46-60ish get in touch with their sensual selves; accept their changing body shapes, attitudes

and emotions; and live passionate lives. Also included are a lingerie fashion show presented by Soma Intimates, lunch and door prizes.

Speakers Eva Arkin and Joan Sugrue will provide information and advice to women in attendance.

Eva Arkin, M.D., a practicing gynecologist for 28 years and founder of Premier Care for Women, P.C., an Atlanta gynecology practice providing medical care throughout every stage of a woman’s life. Dr. Arkin’s own practice focuses on the menopausal patient. Arkin will speak about the physiological changes women face as they age, including body changes, sexual/libido changes, and the effects of drugs and hormone replacement therapy.

Joan Sughrue, MEd, BSN, RN, a sex therapist certified since 1983 by the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT) and an AASECT Diplomat since 2003. Sughrue’s sex therapy practice incorporates holistic, alternative and complementary approaches. Therapeutic techniques include educational, behavioral and reality-based therapies. Emphasis is placed on good communication skills – in and out of bed.

Sughrue’s talk will address emotional and psychological changes and communication issues faced by women as they age, as well as finding new focus within a new life situation.

The event will be held at the Country Club of Roswell on Sunday, March 30 from 10 a.m. to 2p.m. Reservations and payments need to be made to the Hadassah Office by March 21.
