Komen Atlanta Race for the Cure on

Thousands of local residents will unite on Mother’s Day weekend to participate in the 2008 Komen Atlanta Race for the Cure on Saturday, May 10, at Atlantic Station. The Greater Atlanta Affiliate anticipates the event will raise a record $1.5 million with more than 15,000 participants.

Participants will begin the Race in front of the Wachovia building. The 5K route crosses the 17th Street Bridge, winds through midtown and back to the mini-city of Atlantic Station.

Participants can register as individuals or teams. Registration is $35 on Race day. Race applications are available at Atlanta Area Ford Stores, Coldwater Creek, Kroger Stores, Macy’s and Pier 1 Imports. Online registration is available through May 6 at www.komenatlanta.org.
