On Tax Day, Americans See the Cost of Democrats’ Big Government Agenda

More American taxpayers will file their returns today, April 15, than any other day this tax season.

Hard-working Americans are facing the stark realization of how much their government costs.

Already stretched by rising food, energy, and medical costs, Washington’s take of the paycheck is deeply straining family budgets.

The American people are tired of being overtaxed and need leadership to provide meaningful relief. Instead, Democrats in Congress only continue to seek massive tax increases to fund a big government agenda.

The last thing American families need is Washington digging deeper into their pockets. In this time of economic uncertainty, we must ensure more money is kept by those who earned it.

Only by permanently reducing the burden of taxation can we restore the prosperity and stability Americans demand and deserve. It is imperative that those of common sense join to fight vigorously to stop historic tax increases and keep rates low for all hard-working taxpayers.
