Linda Anderson
Fulton County School System’s superintendent, Dr. Cindy Loe, announced two new leadership positions for the Fulton school district.
Linda Anderson has been named deputy superintendent for instruction, and Theresa McDugald has been appointed chief financial officer.
“Both of these dedicated professionals will serve Fulton County schools well,” said Loe. “Their background and experience are true assets, and we’re very fortunate to have them on our team.”
Anderson currently serves as area superintendent for Gwinnett County Public Schools, where she supervises 32 elementary, middle and high school principals. She also served at the Gwinnett district as the executive director for school improvement. Anderson has been an elementary school principal, a middle school assistant principal, dean of students and a special education teacher at the elementary, middle and high school levels.
McDugald joins Fulton from Clayton County Public Schools, where she served as chief financial officer for the past three years. While there, McDugald moved the general fund reserve of $1.2 million to more than $42 million. From 2000-2005 she held the position of executive director of budgets, finance and accounting for Gwinnett County Public Schools.
McDugald graduated from Georgia State University. She is a member of several professional organizations, including the Government Finance Officers Association, the Association of School Business Officials International and the Southeastern Association of School Business Officials.
McDugald started April 16, and Anderson starts June 1.
