North Fulton Neighborhoods Battle Infestation

Upscale neighborhoods in North Fulton have come under attack. Recently, thousands of homeowners have reported their homes have become infested with roof rats.

These rodents have caused thousands of dollars in damages to North Metro Atlanta homes, and in many cases homeowners are not aware it is happening.

Atlanta based pest control and rodent expert Hale Coleman is exposing what could become a local health crisis, and he says it is not going away.

“We caught 53 rats in one home in five nights in a prominent North Fulton neighborhood. The homeowners were forced to move out of their home into an apartment,” said Coleman.

According to Coleman, many homeowners are reluctant to call a pest control company for help because they are embarrassed, or think if they ignore the issue it will go away. But, Coleman said this is not the case, serious damages to homes can occur and it is possible for vermin to spread deadly diseases.

Coleman tells home owners find out where the rats come from and how they are getting into the home. Also, if a homeowner hires an exterminator make sure it is a reputable company.
