Forgery in the first degree
Johns Creek police were called to Best Bank in Johns Creek after the branch manager suspected fraudulent activity.
The manager told an officer that a woman had come into the branch in July and opened an account under the fictitious name Theresa Kabeler. She had given the bank two false ID cards, including a fake social security card.
On May 5, “Theresa” returned to withdraw $400. The manager notified police who quickly responded to the scene. Upon inspection of the woman’s identification, police noted that the driver’s license she was using was a forgery. The suspect was arrested on the scene.
DUI
In the early hours of May 6 a Johns Creek officer noticed a 2003 Land Rover driving off the roadway on Barnwell Road. The officer also noted that the driver was not maintaining the proper lane and was crossing the centerline. The officer conducted a traffic stop and note that the diver smelled of alcohol, and his speech was slurred. The man, Mathew Warman, told the officer he had two beers earlier in the evening.
In the police report, the officer noted that Warman refused to blow a Breathalyzer, and was having trouble maintaining his balance. Warman was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Failure to maintain Lane.
Shattered Car Window
A local woman told police that an unknown person damaged her vehicle while she was idle in traffic. The victim told officers she was sitting in her 2002 Honda waiting to make a left turn onto Morton Road when an unknown person threw an object at her vehicle, shattering her rear window.
The victim told police that an older model tan pickup truck, possibly 1970’s model Ford, drove by her vehicle slowly.
